() Dental grills have been around for thousands of years—Vice reports that rich Etruscan women were fitting their teeth with gold as early as the seventh century B.C. The service was not carried out by a dentist but by a goldsmith. But in 2018, a Florida man faces charges for doing something similar without a dental license.

My Commentary: Making grills without paying for a “license” appears to be more of a crime than straight knocking someone’s teeth out…

Doublethinking About a Democratically-Elected Government

As I scrolled through my Facebook news feed, I discovered the following quote, being shared by an acquaintance, and originally posted it to my own wall, along with commentary…

“I don’t trust the average person to make his own choices. I therefore want everyone subjugating his own judgment to that of an external law-making authority. But that authority can’t just be arbitrary and unlimited, so I want the common people–who themselves can’t be trusted–to choose other people to be the authority. That way all the people who would behave like violent, wild animals can select the best and brightest among them to force the rest to behave in a proper manner. Because while I don’t trust the average person to run his own life, I do trust him to choose someone to run everyone else’s life. Because I am a statist. And I haven’t gotten around to questioning all the patently insane bullshit I was taught when growing up.”

My Commentary: Doublethink much?

() President Donald Trump on Monday touted so-called stop and frisk policing tactics, telling attendees at a chiefs of police convention that he has instructed the Justice Department to work toward reinstating the practice in Chicago. The city’s police department voluntarily agreed to rein in its use of “stop and frisk” in 2015.

“‘Stop and frisk’ works and it was meant for problems like Chicago,” Trump said during his speech at the International Association of Chiefs of Police Annual Convention in Orlando, Florida.

My Commentary: But, without government, who would seize and molest thousands of innocent human beings in order to catch a few criminals?

Discovering ‘Kinsey Syndrome’ in Quest to Understand Lenient Sentencing for Child Predators

As I scrolled through my Facebook news feed, I discovered the following photo being shared by an acquaintance, and originally posted it to my own wall, along with commentary…

My Commentary: In the comments section of the page I originally shared this photo from, someone suggested checking out a documentary called the “Kinsey Syndrome,” for answers to this prison sentencing discrepancy. So, I found a full version on YouTube, and am watching it, now, from here:

My Commentary: I don’t find myself on the street, arguing with strangers, but I would have neutered this beta boy before his leg ever returned to the ground. His testicles are obviously just ornamental, anyway…
