An Israeli court has ordered two New Zealand women to pay over $12,000 in damages for allegedly helping persuade the pop singer Lorde to cancel a performance in Israel.

The suit was filed under a law that allows civil lawsuits against anyone who calls for a boycott against Israel. Thursday’s ruling is believed to be the first time the 2011 law has been applied.

() Facebook announced on Thursday that 559 pages had been deleted for flooding their platform with politically-oriented spam, according to Washington Post.

Among the pages taken down were notorious anti-police pages for Cop Block, The Free Thought Project, and Police the Police, which had roughly seven million followers between them.

Children Over 12 Face Jail Time for Trick-or-Treating in Some Towns:

Let’s start with a big question: How old is too old to trick or treat?

Some cities not only suggest an age, they will send kids over the “legal” limit to jail for dressing up and going door-to-door looking for candy.

In Chesapeake, Virginia, anyone over the age of 12 who is caught trick-or-treating could be sent to jail for up to 6 months and fined.
