Starvation as Warfare

As I scrolled through my Facebook news feed, I discovered the following captioned photo here, being shared by the page, “The Arcane Front,” and originally posted it to my own wall, along with commentary…

"Man Poses with Tens of Thousands of Bison Skulls: This photo from the 1870's shows a man proudly standing in front of a mountain of tens of thousands of bison skulls —an iconic American species that was systematically slaughtered by the millions as European Americans settled the west. The U.S. Army actively endorsed the wholesale slaughter of these animals for two main reasons: to remove any competition with cattle, and to starve Native American tribes who greatly depended on the bison for food. Without the bison, the resisting tribes of the Great Plains would either be forced to leave or die of starvation."

My Commentary: Destroy the food supply, destroy the people – historically, and presently!

Questioning Steve Pinker’s Video, “Why Violence Has Declined”

The Better Angels of Our Nature: Why Violence Has Declined:
[youtube_sc url=”8_sjosc0r1w”]

I tend to disagree with the view that violence is on the decline, because state-sponsored violence is on the rise, and slavery is at an all-time HIGH. Don’t get me wrong, though: while I can support his notion of “the better angels of our nature,” I still find Steven Pinker’s conclusions about violence trends questionable. In summary, his evidence is circumstantial,  there are large gaps in his data, and he vastly oversimplifies the social, political and technological dynamics at work throughout human history in order to reach his hypothesis.

Terroristic British Government Artificially Created Irish Potato Famine

I originally posted the following information and commentary onto my Facebook wall…

The British Government Has Always Been a Terrorist State

The British Empire – A Lesson In State Terrorism:

(Joe Quinn) For most people in Western nations today, terrorism has become synonymous with large scale spectacular acts of violence by small groups against a civilian population and, within the last 15 years, primarily in the name of one religion in particular – Islam. Historically speaking (and I mean up until the present day) there is no justification for this perception, and it can only have come about through a massive and prolonged public propaganda offensive on the part of those with a vested interest in creating and perpetuating it.

The historical record shows quite clearly that states, or those acting on behalf of the state, have been responsible for the vast majority of large-scale terrorist acts against civilians. If we pause to think about it for a moment, it seems natural that this would be the case. The ruling class in any nation, be it a monarchy, democracy or dictatorship, are naturally in opposition to the people over whom they rule because the ruling class enjoy privileges that the people do not. Indeed, the ruling class only enjoy these privileges because of this manufactured divide, that is to say, the ‘haves’ have because the ‘have nots’ ‘have not’.

My Commentary: Starvation as warfare…

“I have often said, and written, it is Famine which must consume [the Irish]; our swords and other endeavours work not that speedy effect which is expected, for their overthrow.” – Lord Deputy of Ireland Sir Arthur Chichester to Lord Burghley, Queen Elizabeth’s chief adviser, dated 1601

The Overpopulation Myth: Pseudo-Scientific Call For State Control Over All Human Life

The surface of our planet is made up of 70% water and 30% land. In total, the Earth contains approximately 57.47 million square miles of land. Of this, 20% is covered in snow, 20% is mountainous, 20% is dry land, 30% is fertile, and 10% has no topsoil:
http://hypertextbook.com/facts/2001/DanielChen.shtml

Using the  above figures, I calculate that there are currently about 17.241 million square miles of fertile land on our planet– which translates as roughly 11.034 billion acres of food-sustaining land.

As of 2008, the world human population on Earth was almost 6.7 billion individuals:

Now, let us go over some hypotheticals, shall we?

If all 6.7 billion individuals on Earth were to evenly distribute, then live upon the roughly 11.034 billion acres of fertile land available on our planet, every single man, woman and child in the world would have approximately 1.647 acres of their very own self-sustaining property to live upon!

George Washington: American Revolutionary, or Slave-Mastering Eugenicist?

The following debate originally took place upon my Facebook wall…

George Washington, the Slave-Master

George Washington, the Slave-Master

Larry Fox: Ah, Rayn, we became friends just in time to celebrate your birthday on the 22nd. Same birthday as my favorite president. How wonderful!

Rayn: Ha ha! No doubt! I take it George Washington must be your favorite president, then?

Larry Fox: Yes, absolutely. I could talk about him for hours. For now I will only make this one comment: He is the only man in history who led a successful revolutionary army who then turned his back on power. Not Cromwell in England, Caesar in Rome, Castro in Cuba, Napoleon in France and on and on. After he signed the peace with England he mounted his horse in New York and with a single aid rode to the temporary meeting place of the Continental Congress in Virginia. He walked in unannounced, placed his commission on the table, his sword, and without a word, turn and left for home in Mt. Vernon. For this alone I idolize him, and there is much more. I could go on but I fear I would put you to sleep. If I forget by Tuesday – Happy Birthday!
