Discussing the American Public’s General Apathy About Endless Wars

The following correspondence originally took place on my Facebook wall, upon my post, “Supporting America’s Wars is Easy… When Not Actually Fighting in Them!“…

Rayn: Hypocritical cowards support America’s wars, because they don’t have to fight them.

Draft! Draft! Draft! Draft! Draft! Draft! Draft!

Apaths only understand self-preservation!

Brian J.: Very true. But self preservation is the most important thing in life. Otherwise, why buy food and pay for your bills?

Rayn: Exactly! And, that’s why I wrote, “draft, draft, draft”!

Supporting America’s Wars is Easy… When Not Actually Fighting in Them!

As I scrolled through my Facebook news feed, I discovered the following artwork here, being shared by the page, “Zero Aggression,” and originally posted it to my own wall, along with commentary

Who Could Possible Run Your Life Better Than a Small, Elect Group of Morally-Bankrupt Plutocrats?

The following correspondence originally took place upon the Facebook wall of family, after they posted artwork being shared the page, “Libertarian Party“…

Genaire:

“Libertarian. The radical notion that you are not the property of anyone else, including the government.” – Tony Baize (All individuals have the right to exercise sole dominion over their own lives, and have the right to live in whatever manner they choose, so long as they do not forcibly interfere with the equal right of others to live in whatever manner they choose.)
(Learn more about the LP and its values of Liberty at lp.or/platform)

Rayn: What a elitist and extremist viewpoint! Do you really believe that you can run your life better than a small, elect group of morally-bankrupt plutocrats? Just who do you think you are?

The Government Can – Tim Hawkins:

Stephen K.: 90% of the US Congress are millionaires.

Rayn: It’s a little over half, actually.

More Than Half the Members of Congress Are Millionaires (Jan. 2014):

This is a small rise from the 2011 figures:

47% of Congress Members Millionaires — a Status Shared by Only 1% of Americans (Nov. 2011 article):

I Never Hear the Word “Escape” Without a Quicker Blood…

I originally posted the following information and commentary onto my Facebook wall…

The Right to Ignore the State:
https://www.libertarianism.org/publications/essays/right-ignore-state

(Herbert SpencerThe Right to Voluntary Outlawry: As a corollary to the proposition that all institutions must be subordinated to the law of equal freedom, we cannot choose but admit the right of the citizen to adopt a condition of voluntary outlawry. If every man has freedom to do all that he wills, provided he infringes not the equal freedom of any other man, then he is free to drop connection with the state — to relinquish its protection, and to refuse paying toward its support. It is self-evident that in so behaving he in no way trenches upon the liberty of others; for his position is a passive one; and whilst passive he cannot become an aggressor.

The following debate originally took place upon the Facebook wall of an ex-acquaintance, after he shared a photo from here

Thomas Pa.:

"This is not a chicken. This is not a tree. This is not a dress. This is not a person. This is not a difficult concept."

“This is not a chicken. This is not a tree. This is not a dress. This is not a person. This is not a difficult concept.”

Rayn: Since the first two eggs shown in this graphic are unfertilized, wouldn’t it be more consistent to show a picture of a bloody sanitary napkin in the last box, instead of a sperm latching onto an ovum?

Thomas Pa.: before everyone has had breakfast?

Rayn: Ha! 🙂 My sense of humor becomes even more crude than usual when I’ve stayed up all night. 🙂
