http://www.nytimes.com/2016/08/13/opinion/a-small-victory-for-more-sensible-marijuana-policies.html
Supporters of a saner marijuana policy scored a small victory this week when the Obama administration said it would authorize more institutions to grow marijuana for medical research. But the government passed up an opportunity to make a more significant change.
The Drug Enforcement Administration on Thursday turned down two petitions— one from the governors of Rhode Island and Washington and the other from a resident of New Mexico — requesting that marijuana be removed from Schedule 1 of the Controlled Substances Act.

Rajuawn Middleton’s son moved out of her home years earlier, but that did not stop police in the nations capital from raiding her home in a search for guns they allege he was harboring. In fact, in the end, the son was never charged with any crime related to the allegations.
During the raid in March 2014, however, a single joint was found in her possession. As a result she was eventually forced to move out of her home.

Two men have been arrested for turning a North Carolina country club mansion into a massive marijuana farm.
Hong and Haih Nguyen rented a large Sapona Ridge Country Club home in the small town of Lexington where WFMY reported they operated seven grow rooms containing more than 500 pounds of pot when cops stormed in Monday evening.
My Commentary: Thieving pigs enforce immoral “laws” to promote poverty, corner the black market for the State, and consolidate more power into the hands of the government officials at the expense of peaceful individuals.
