As I scrolled through my Facebook news feed, I discovered the following artwork here, being shared by the page, “People Over Politics,” and originally posted it to my own wall, along with commentary…

My Commentary: The worthless “lesser of two evils” argument is based upon TWO DISTINCT LOGICAL FALLACIES: the false dilemma AND the false compromise! It is COMPLETELY ILLEGITIMATE, and DOES NOT represent the mindset of RATIONAL or FREE-THINKING Individuals! And, THE RESULTS ARE CLEAR!

War crimes and crimes against peace are not justifiable, under any circumstances.

(Independent Institute Blog, ) Sixty-seven years ago, on August 6, 1945, the Truman administration dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima, instantly killing tens of thousands of men, women, and children, and causing a nuclear catastrophe that took thousands of more lives in the weeks and years that followed. Three days later, on August 9, the U.S. followed up by dropping a plutonium bomb on Nagasaki.

Assuming the conventional narrative we hear about these events is true, these acts were acts of terrorism by any reasonable standard. The typical story is that the Truman administration made a necessary and difficult calculus, deciding that the lives of about two-hundred-thousand Japanese civilians were worth expending so as to save the lives of even more American servicemen who would have had to invade Japanese mainland and secure victory.

Today marks the 67th anniversary of the American government’s terrorist attacks against Japanese civilians in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Eight members of an Afghan family, including six children and two women, were killed in a NATO airstrike in eastern Afghanistan, local authorities said on Sunday, although the NATO-led coalition said there was no evidence of any civilian casualties.

The strike took place in the Gerda Serai district of Paktia late on Saturday, the provincial governor’s spokesman, Rohullah Samon, said as foreign and Afghan security forces try to quell Taliban and Haqqani network insurgents active in the area.

“The strike by ISAF killed four teenage boys, two teenage girls, and two women, and wounded two others,” Samon said.

Rayn: I won’t hesitate to verbally tar and feather that Death-Worshiping mummy, either, Jason, if he becomes a serious enough threat. He’s just ANOTHER War Pig, foaming at the mouth for murder. He and O-bomb-a are guilty, and the blood of the innocent is on their hands, along with any who support them. I will not be led by the Cains of this world – nor the Barabbas’, nor the Shauls. I’m not sure that I would classify their legal representation as “better,”Charles… Many of America’s “terrorist” suspects have been treated in ways that are technically considered WAR-CRIMES by the standards of Human Rights – and EVEN, as defined by the Geneva Convention! And, this has happened under both Bush and O-bomb-a’s administrations.
