Discussing the Fact that the Vast Majority of American Public Can’t Name the Three Branches of Government

And, yet, here the ignorant majority stand – trying hard to convince me that I should blindly trust the government, just like their sorry asses do! Meanwhile, they haven’t even bothered to understand the American government’s “checks and balances,” which were put in place PRECISELY because the State cannot be trusted with authority! LOL!

Jason R.: This is very sad situation about the American people. More people want to know what’s going on in pop culture in mainstream society instead. Though, there’s also a major issue with the public school system in this country through High School as well.

(Reid Wilson, Washington Post) Wednesday marked national Constitution Day, the 227th anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution. But only 36 percent of Americans can actually name the three branches of government the Constitution created.

That’s according to a new survey from the Annenberg Public Policy Center, and it shows a huge percentage of Americans might need to take a civics refresher course.

Only 38 percent of Americans knew the Republican Party controls the U.S. House of Representatives, while 17 percent think Democrats are still in charge. The number of people who knew Republicans were in charge has dropped 17 percent since the last time Annenberg asked, back in 2011, right after Republicans reclaimed control.

Discussing the Sad State of $tatism

The following correspondence originally took place on my Facebook wall, upon my post, “The Sad State of $tatism…“…

Rayn: The sad state of $tatism…

“The men the American people admire most extravagantly are the greatest liars: the men they detest most iolently are those who try to tell the truth.” – H.L. Mencken

Steve L.: “The truth, indeed, is something that mankind, for some mysterious reason, instinctively dislikes. Every man who tries to tell it is unpopular, and even when, by the sheer strength of his case, he prevails, he is put down as a scoundrel.” ~ Chicago Tribune (23 May 1926), Henry Louis Mencken

The State is the Coldest Monster of All!

City Outlaws Panhandling, Police Chief Now Threatening to Ban Giving to the Homeless:

(Cassius Methyl, TheAntiMedia) It’s just not good enough for it to be illegal to panhandle in San Antonio; now, the chief of police wants to ban giving to the homeless too.

In this economic black hole we find ourselves in with no way out, there are more people on the street every day without a lot of choices on how to get food, how to scramble for federal reserve notes to survive.

To make matters much worse for the homeless of San Antonio, those people struggling for federal reserve notes and food may now find generosity much more rare as it could become illegal for people to give to them at all.

If the police chief of San Antonio has his way, the police of the city will soon be granted the ability to force people giving to the homeless to give to the state; tickets, citations, robbery on yellow slips of paper.

My CommentaryThe compassion of the State is boundless. So, don’t forget to pay your “fair share” of taxes! How ELSE do you expect the homeless to be “taken care of”?

As Friedrich Nietzsche once said, “A state, is called the coldest of all cold monsters.”
