Maryland Police Ban Tourists from Taking Roadside Pictures With Sunflowers:
http://thefreethoughtproject.com/maryland-police-ban-sunflowers/

(John Vibes) Each year, towards the end of summer, sunflowers pop up in fields across Harford County and they become somewhat of an attraction for people who want to take pictures or pick a few flowers to take with them.

However, this year, local police have ruined the fun and issued a statement telling motorists that they are no longer allowed to pull over to appreciate the sunflowers.

There has not been a major incident or accident to prompt this ban, just some complaints of minor traffic slowdowns on a country road. The field is located on a country road and near a red light, so while cars would have to stop to allow pedestrians to cross the road, the traffic on the street is so calm that it does not cause any major congestion.

My Commentary: Authoritarianism is a disease. We must purge this corruption, or it will continue to rot the very roots of our societies.

(Matt Agorist) A 13-year-old girl was brought to the hospital Thursday afternoon after suffering a bullet wound from a police officer’s gun. According to police, they were attempting to bring the ‘combative’ child under control when the ‘officer’s gun discharged.’

According to police, they were called to the school to investigate allegations of a crime. As they were talking to the young girl, she allegedly became  “uncooperative and then combative,” according to the release.

While officers struggled to control the elementary student, one of their firearms somehow discharged while still in the holster and also somehow hit the girl, according to the release.

KING: After Tyre King’s Death, Here’s Why I Don’t Believe a Word Police Say Immediately After They Kill Someone:
http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/king-don-police-kill-article-1.2793583

(Shaun King) In two years time, I’ve now written nearly 1,000 articles about injustice in America. Injustice is so heavy here in the United States that if I had written 10,000 articles I still would only be scratching the surface. On the average day, I get hundreds of original emails from people who’ve been wronged in some way or another and hope they can have their story told.

When I first started telling these stories, I must admit that I was terribly naive. I had no idea how complex the justice system is. While I knew it was difficult to hold a corrupt or violent cop accountable for their actions, I simply didn’t know the lengths police, prosecutors, politicians and even local media outlets will go to protect a violent officer from paying the price for their brutality. I’ve learned the hard way over these past two years that what should make sense rarely does when it comes to holding police accountable for their violent actions. Now I know.

Forget “Stop and Frisk” — Cops Across US Collecting DNA of Innocent People in “Stop and Swabs”:
http://thefreethoughtproject.com/cops-collecting-innocent-people-dna/

(Claire Bernish) Without laws to guide them, police around the country have begun collecting people’s DNA — even when no crime has been committed — using private labs which then store the genetic material for unknown periods to make identification simple in the event a crime is committed in the future.

Known generally as “stop and spit,” the practice of requesting the DNA of adults and juveniles during routine traffic stops and even basic interactions with police, ProPublica reports, is not only wholly unregulated and unlegislated, it is alarmingly common.

Debating Police Brutality Against Non-Combative Student Inside Baltimore High School

The following debate originally took place on my Facebook wall, upon my post, “School Police Officer Repeated Slaps, Then Kicks, 16-Year-Old Student While Partner Stands By, Watching“…

Rayn: Fuck the police.

Greg C.: It takes insanity to police insanity…

Rayn: It takes the insane to justify the beating of children.

Greg C.: One slap yes…not 5 but its insanity no doubt.

Genaire: Adults, especially adults in a position of authority, should not hit children. When the parents of this child retaliates with justified violence then they should not be looked upon as the villain.

GenaireNow the taxes of the community will undoubtedly increase due to the issuing lawsuit.

Greg C.: Im wondering what the kid did. It had to be something to bring out such a reaction. I find it really filled with hypocrisy that just a short time ago HBO had “The Wire” on and it was an identical and absolute realistic representation of Baltimores aggressive policing against the drug trade. NOBODY SAID ANYTHING, THEY SAW IT AND THEY BOUGHT IT, with praise and now (politicians) are saying “No, No – This isnt right”

Rayn: Why not wonder how many other victims the cop has done this to before? (Click Here to Continue Reading This Post)
