The Average Statist Constantly Flip-Flops, and Only Places Any Major Passion and Conviction into Horizontal Enforcement of Their More Freedom-Minded Peers

As I scrolled through my Facebook news feed, I discovered the following artwork here, being shared by the page, “Liberty Memes,” and originally posted it to my own wall, along with commentary…

"'This is a REVOLUTION. A revolution of the PEOPLE. No long are we going to bow down to the 15 and the two-party syste...' Bernie Sanders endorses Hillary Clinton"

“‘This is a REVOLUTION. A revolution of the PEOPLE. No long are we going to bow down to the 15 and the two-party syste…’
Bernie Sanders endorses Hillary Clinton”

My Commentary: Yup… That’s about the exact level of passion and conviction that guides the average Statist… *sigh*

You should see how much effort they put into HORIZONTAL ENFORCEMENT of those who advocate for human self-ownership over life-long enslavement within this corrupt “legal” system, though! Now, THAT’S where their dedication really shines through! They have perfected the art of defeatism and cowardice!

“Those who profess to favor freedom and yet depreciate agitation, are people who want crops without ploughing the ground; they want rain without thunder and lightning; they want the ocean without the roar of its many waters. The struggle may be a moral one, or it may be a physical one, or it may be both. But it must be a struggle. Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will.” – Frederick Douglass

Discussing How Government Breaks Your Leg, Offers You a Crutch, Then Expects Full Appreciation for the “Service”

(Rebecca Mueller) If you are thinking of starting a small business in Chicago, you might want to have an attorney lined up to help push things through City Hall.

Last week, my mobile fashion boutique, North & Hudson, finally hit the streets after months of sitting on the sidelines waiting for approval from the city.

After leaving my career in finance and graduating from fashion school, I watched dozens of my classmates flee Chicago for places like New York or Los Angeles. But I was determined to stay here in Chicago and to support local fabric and manufacturing businesses with orders from my clothing line.

BART Admits Halting Cell Service to Stop Protests:

(Michael Cabanatuan) BART’s shut-off of subterranean cell phone service in its downtown San Francisco stations may have prevented a protest Thursday, but it sparked accusations Friday that the action stifled free speech and smacked of the kind of government intrusion employed by Middle East dictators.

“All over the world, people are using mobile devices to protest oppressive regimes, and governments are shutting down cell phone towers and the Internet to stop them,” said Michael Risher, a staff attorney for the American Civil Liberties Union of Northern California. “It’s outrageous that in San Francisco, BART is doing the same thing.”

Decriminalization is Superior to Legalization, in Regards to Ending the Fallacious “War on Drugs”

I originally posted the following information and commentary onto my Facebook wall…

Why We Should End The Failed War On Drugs (And Legalization Is The Best Alternative):
http://www.libertyandcommonsense.com/?p=376

“It constantly amazes me that defenders of the free market are expected to offer certainty and perfection while government has only to make promises and express good intentions.” This double standard, recognized by Lawrence Reed, is particularly evident with respect to the “war on drugs.” Despite over a trillion dollars spent, the arrest and imprisonment of millions of Americans,  and cities that have been turned into virtual war zones, we are no closer to eliminating the scourge of drug abuse today than when Nixon declared illicit drugs “public enemy number one” and promised to wage “an all-out, global war” “to fight and defeat this enemy.” After 45 years, few would dispute that the “war on drugs” has been an abject failure.
