(Jiquanda Johnson) City officials are asking residents to not sit trash out until further notice.

Flint Mayor Karen Weaver’s office issued a July 30 statement announcing that the city no longer has trash service and garbage will not be picked up starting Monday.

My Commentary: “But, without government, who would rig the contract for a crony, have her cronyism overridden by an 8-1 vote, ignore the council vote in favor of her crony, and then suspend garbage collection when a judge said they need to wait until Tuesday to figure this out?”

Santucci Farm – Traverse City Cherries: These cherries are beautiful! But, we have to dump 14% of our tart cherry crop on the ground to rot. Why? So we can allow the import of 200 million pounds of cherries from overseas! It just doesn’t seem right. What do you think? Please share this on your Facebook page???. Just to let everyone know we are not allowed to donate or in any way use diverted cherries. I have people who would buy them if I could sell them. Also these are tart cherries with a very short shelf life

(M. David) Two police officers have just been indicted on charges of conspiracy and misconduct. But until a dashboard video was released, the man who they victimized was actually the one in trouble.

Officers accused Marcus Jeter, 30, of eluding police, prosecutors said. He faced these charges in Newark Superior Court, and was originally facing a years-long prison sentence. But that was when the video of New Jersey Officers Orlando Trinidad and Sean Courter, both 33, had not yet been released. Once it was, the tables turned very quickly.
