A Mile Higher Marijuana” started a Facebook page on March 21, 2013. Within their “About” section, they refer to themselves as a “full service marijuana shop” to be “open for retail business January 2014,” including that “right now you can find [their] products at multiple dispensaries throughout Denver.”

A week later, on March 28th, at 11:43 am (EST), “A Mile Higher Marijuana” posted the details of what appeared to be an amazing contest opportunity being hosted by their company: (Click Here to Continue Reading This Post)

Discussing the Film, “Full Metal Jacket”

The following correspondence originally took place upon my Facebook wall, after I added information to the “movies I’ve watched” section of my profile…

Rayn: added Full Metal Jacket to movie’s she’s watched.

Brian J.: This is one of the more disappointing war films that I’ve seen, and it’s one of Kubrick’s weakest achievements. But it’s still a good film. The first half is a master class of filmmaking. But the second half felt like “Apocalypse Now” for stupid people. If you want great war films, I recommend “The Thin Red Line”, “Apocalypse Now”, and “Platoon.”

Rayn: There is definitely a large shift in pace between the first and second half of the film, but I still enjoy the piece as a whole, and will never turn down an opportunity to give it a watch, even over those others! 🙂

Brian J.: I just wasn’t impressed with the performances in the second half. And it felt like a lesser version of “Platoon.” But that first half is perfect.

Doublethinking About Terrorism

As I scrolled through my Facebook news feed, I discovered the following artwork here, being shared by the page, “The Anti-Media,” and originally posted it to my own wall, along with commentary…

"Anytime a bomb is used to target civilians, it is an act of terror," [says the man who] bombs Libya, Yemen, Somalia, Pakistan, Iraq and Afghanistan

“Anytime a bomb is used to target civilians, it is an act of terror,” [says the man who] bombs Libya, Yemen, Somalia, Pakistan, Iraq and Afghanistan

My Commentary: Recently, child-bombing Nobel Peace Prize recipient, Barack Obama, was kind enough to define the highly confusing term, “terror,” for the American public. It’s a good thing we have such noble politicians like him to make things clear for us lowly commoners -taking time out of his very busy schedule just to help us double-think our way through the ever-nagging cognitive dissonance that comes from accepting civilian murders as a form of AMERICAN political policy, while simultaneously condemning the use of such tactics by others!

Thanks, lizard! Without your efforts, the public might be forced to rely on notoriously unreliable tools like common sense and critical thinking when considering serious matters like these!
