Police Have Zero Right to Intimidate, Nor to Arrest, Members of the Public Who Are Simply Recording Them

Rayn: Arkansas State Representative Arrested for Recording Police:

Greg C.: You can watch from across the street but you can’t push up on police doing their jobs. We can’t second guess police officers from doing their jobs. We can demand that they be held liable for their actions if they break the law.

Rayn: Just “doing their job”… Sure… And, so were the Nazis…

The Arkansas State representative, Mr. John Walker, who was originally recording the police encounter from across the street, was approached by two officers, who then engaged in the federal crime of “witness tampering,” by harassing, intimidating, attempting to use corrupt persuasion, and engaging in misleading conduct, in order to pressure Mr. Walker into ceasing his ac of publicly recording. The officers claimed that Mr. Walker was video recording the police encounter to “provoke” officers, and also claimed Mr. Walker to be a “race baiter.” And, even as the police officers originally stated to Mr. Walker that there were two men being detained, before walking away from him, they admitted that anyone inside of the pulled-over car wasn’t visible, because the windows were darkened.

Meanwhile, when Mr. Walker came closer to the scene, it quickly become apparent that he only did so in order to film the faces of the two men from the car that were being detained by police, as one was still inside the car, and unable to be seen from his original vantage point – even by police admission. With this action, he was then FALSELY arrested under the ludicrous charge of “obstruction of a governmental operation.” Yet, according to law, “a person is guilty of obstructing governmental operations when he intentionally obstructs, impairs or hinders the performance of a governmental function by using or threatening to use violence, force or physical interference.” Mr. Walker did not, IN ANY WAY, physically interfere with the activities of the officers. He didn’t touch them, nor did he come between them and the car they were surrounding, nor did he come between them and the two men from the car that they were detaining. Murilo M.: Well, I know that to the uninformed it may seem creepy the idea that lots of people, including children, take medication, but if you take your time to study neurology and psychiatry you will understand the reasons behind it. There are good reasons why lots of people are medicated. The only problem is that unfortunately some people are misdiagnosed and end up taking the wrong medication.

Murilo M.: Mental problems are more common than people think, and medication can be of great help. I say that because I know how much the substance Mirtazapine has helped me, it has made magic. And also because I know people with ADHD and I know how much Ritalin has helped them.

Rayn: The artwork says “overmedicated,” and you appear to have formulated your very own personal definition of what that means to you. You’re arguing against a straw-man you created, and simultaneously calling your imagined opponent “uninformed.” Quite amusing, actually.

Murilo M.: My entire point was to criticize people who believe ADHD is a myth and medicating children with Ritalin is wrong. The same applies to people who think depression is just sadness and anti-depressants are dangerous.

Greg C.: Im wondering what the kid did. It had to be something to bring out such a reaction. I find it really filled with hypocrisy that just a short time ago HBO had “The Wire” on and it was an identical and absolute realistic representation of Baltimores aggressive policing against the drug trade. NOBODY SAID ANYTHING, THEY SAW IT AND THEY BOUGHT IT, with praise and now (politicians) are saying “No, No – This isnt right”

Joseph H.: Everyone is sinful and everyone is capable of evil. Radicals always make the same basic, fatal mistake. They want to overturn an established flawed
order and replace it with What they think is a utopia. They don’t see that
they are subject to the same faults as the rulers they replaced. It happened in the French Revolution and in the Russian Revolution. A bloody, sadistic regime replaced a long established monarchy. Power corrupts and unless you have something to balance that, you’ll be corrupt too.

Rayn: Reality does not tend to agree with the highly cynical notion that humanity needs to be ruled over by morally-bankrupt criminal scum. And, the Statists currently denying our natural right to live, to own ourselves, and to peacefully co-exist are simply those who wish to violate them, by way of robbery, slavery and/or murder – either directly, or through violent, coercive proxy (church, state, etc). This is typically done while espousing the usual brand of illogical superstition, replete with “original sin/presumed guilt/pre-crime/chaos” myth about the inherent “evil/cruelty/disorder” of humanity.

Of course, I reject such cult-like nonsense, as it is absolutely illegitimate. Not only have I personally met more kind and caring souls than I can count, I also recognize every human being as a UNIQUE, SOVEREIGN INDIVIDUAL – to be judged ONLY by the merits of their OWN character! As far as I’m concerned, assigning humanity with labels fit for criminals is merely an excuse for the corrupt and polluted souls among us to collectively oppress and punish us all for crimes we haven’t even committed, in an effort to catch a boogie man that lives no further than the nearest MIRROR! Besides, biology, itself, does NOT support the “freedom is slavery” double-think mentality of such control-freaks, no matter how many clever excuses they come up with in order to justify their lust to harm and enslave others:
