(Alex Greig & Helen Powa, Daily Mail) sheriff’s deputy in Knox County, Tennessee has been fired after he was caught on camera allegedly choking a university student Saturday night.

Frank Phillips, 47, was been found ‘unsuitable for continued employment,’ according to a termination notice posted Sunday night on the Knox County Sheriff’s Office’s website.

‘In my 34 years of law enforcement experience, excessive force has never been tolerated. After an investigation by the Office of Professional Standards, I believe excessive force was used in this incident,’ Sheriff Jimmy ‘J.J.’ Jones said.

‘Therefore, Officer Phillips’ employment with the Knox County Sheriff’s Office is terminated immediately.’

The New York Times pushed fabricated evidence in the run up to the Iraq war.   A year later, the newspaper apologized for its inaccurate, one-sided coverage.

The U.S. and the New York Times pretended that Syria’s government was responsible for the chemical weapons attack … but that claim was debunked, and even the New York Times was forced to retract it several months later.

I recently had the opportunity to work with a great guy named Jose Delgado, Jr., a 53-year old who was born without most of his left hand.  Jose found his way to me and asked if I could help make a 3D printed prosthesis for him.

Jose has used multiple types of prosthetic devices over many years, including a myoelectric version that uses the muscle signals in his forearm to trigger closing or opening the fingers. The cost of this myoelectric device was $42,000.  Only a portion of that was paid by insurance and the rest by Jose.  The cost makes it an unaffordable option for many in similar situations.

My Commentary: “E-nable Hand” (aka “Cyborg Beast”) is an open-source 3D-printed hand, made with $50 in materials. Meanwhile, the myoelectric prosthesis described in this article is a $42,000 device, made with patented top-of-the-line technology. Guess which one Jose Delgado, Jr, a life-long prosthesis-wearer, born without most of his left hand, prefers?

38 year old James Boyd had been camping in a spot that the state deemed “illegal.” Trigger happy officers were dispatched to the scene and Boyd was murdered by them.

Boyd was being cordial and surrendering and he started walking down the mountain. At this point the aggressive and violent escalation by police led to a flash bang grenade and then shots fired.

Apparently cops wearing cameras does not deter them from murdering people.
