Chris C.: Who here knows why we celebrate Easter? It commemorates Christ’s resurrection. Not sure where the bunnies and chocolate came from.
Rayn: Easter equals Ishtar worship! Ishtar was the Babylonian goddess of fertility/love/war/sex, based upon the Sumerian goddess “Innana.” The bunnies and eggs are symbolic of sex and fertility, and the tradition of eating Easter ham is based upon the fact that Ishtar’s son, Tammuz, was killed by a wild boar. The holiday is really just a sun-moon-worshipping pagan fertility ceremony, adapted by Catholicism in order to gain massive numbers of luke-warm converts in the early days of the spreading of the message of יהושוע !
