Plenty of cop “beat downs” can be found online, but how often does the officer who stops others from handing out the beating get fired for it? That’s exactly what’s happening to Officer Regina Tasca in the Bogota Police Department.

Tasca’s dashboard camera captured her as she attempted to stop two officers from beating an emotionally disturbed young man. Just days after the incident, she was told she was being suspended with pay. A year later, her trial is about to begin as the Bogota PD seeks to fire her.

My Commentary: She sees a crime in progress by fellow officers, stops it, and she’s suspended for it! Apparently, she didn’t realize that the biggest gang in America wears blue and carries a badge!

QUOTAS were already established as UNCONSTITUTIONAL by the American court system. Therefore, if an officer is given “orders” to engage in such criminal activity, it is his DUTY as a CITIZEN FIRST, to REFUSE, and then FILE A COMPLAINT against his superior! Attempting to claim job security as an excuse for violating our civil rights is just a pathologically pathetic EXCUSE for TYRANNY!!!

(Shaun Waterman, Washington Times) Look! Up in the sky! Is it a bird? Is it a plane? It’s … a drone, and it’s watching you. That’s what privacy advocates fear from a bill Congress passed this week to make it easier for the government to fly unmanned spy planes in U.S. airspace.

The FAA Reauthorization Act, which President Obama is expected to sign, also orders the Federal Aviation Administration to develop regulations for the testing and licensing of commercial drones by 2015.

Privacy advocates say the measure will lead to widespread use of drones for electronic surveillance by police agencies across the country and eventually by private companies as well.

My Commentary: Under the Congress-approved “FAA Reauthorization Bill,” the FAA “projects that 30,000 drones could be in the nation’s skies by 2020,” because “the legislation would order the FAA, before the end of the year, to expedite the process through which it authorizes the use of drones by federal, state and local police and other agencies.”

Great! Domestic drone surveillance is EXACTLY what our brutal, over-militarized American police force needs! Now, we’ll all FINALLY be safe! ::whew!::

It was Monday, August 15, 2011, just a few minutes after 4:00 pm, and I was in Wood-Ridge, New Jersey, walking down Highland Ave, trying to clear my head. I found myself heading down the same path that I had discovered while wandering some months earlier, also trying to clear my head. As I crossed 7th Ave, heading towards Valley Blvd, suddenly, the sky started pouring rain, and water started to quickly pool on the sidewalks. I had no umbrella – only a jacket and a baseball cap to protect me – so, I started to get uncomfortably and soaking wet, especially my boots.
