I engaged in the following correspondence with another follower of Yahusha haMashiyach through Facebook messenger…

Rayn: As for the traits of compatible help-mate, I value honesty, authenticity, integrity, humility, kindness, patience, compassion, loyalty, dedication, thoughtfulness, attentiveness, transparency, approachability, emotional availability, an even temper, a well-developed sense of humor, and an enduring enthusiasm for passionate conversations and rigorous discussions on a variety of meaningful topics (with Scripture being at the very top of that list), along with a deep and intimate relationship with YHWH. Through YHWH’s love, mercy and guidance, I’ve been cultivating all of these characteristics within myself for years, so a potential help-mate will need to either have all of these attributes, or be very willing and motivated to develop them, if he wants to truly develop and maintain an equally-yoked relationship together.

Tommy F.: […] I seek to live out what Yeshua taught concerning love to our brothers and sisters and that includes especially the lost. Not the least of which is 1st day Christians. I am looking for a suitable mate, my help mate, which is one thing I didn’t understand about what you just shared…you said you were looking for a helpmate and I expected you to say you were looking to become a helpmate to the right man for you??

Rayn: I have considered the term “helper/helpmate” (“ezer” in Hebrew) to be a description that is interchangeable inside of a marriage covenant by virtue of the fact that YHWH is repeatedly described by the term “ezer” with respect to His relationship with His followers.

Rayn: Apologies for any confusion my usage of the term caused.
Tommy F.: No confusion but thank you for clarifying your thoughts on your decision of usage of the term
Rayn: You’re most welcome.
