The ‘Right to Vote’… For Murderers?

As I scrolled through my Facebook news feed, I discovered the following artwork here, being shared by TheFreeThoughtProject.com’s Jason Bassler, and originally posted it to my own wall, along with commentary…

“You always hear people say
‘People died for your right to vote’
But you never hear them say
‘People died because you voted'”

My Commentary: For one, there’s those citizens being murdered daily by the police in the tyrannical “War on Drugs.” Then, there’s the those civilians being drone-bombed by the military in Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Libya, Yemen, Syria, and Somalia, in the tyrannical “War on Terror”…

Even Ol’ Uncle Bernie Agrees…

Anti-War Voices Applaud ‘Must-Read’ Sanders Op-Ed Demanding End to Yemen War:

Anti-war voices are praising a new “must-read” New York Times op-ed in which Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) called on Congress “to redefine our relationship with Saudi Arabia, and to show that the Saudis do not have a blank check to continue violating human rights” by revoking U.S. support for the Saudi and UAE-led war in Yemen.

In 2016, War Hawk, Obama, Beats His Previous Bombing Record

Swan Song from a “Reluctant” Hawk:

(Gene Healy) President Obama will deliver his Farewell Address tonight to a capacity crowd in Chicago’s McCormick Place convention center. It’s the right venue for the speech, the president explained last week, because Chicago is “where my career in public service began.”

Indeed, it’s the city where, as a young state senator in 2002, Obama gave an antiwar rally speech railing against the “dumb,” “rash” rush to war in Iraq; and where, as a presidential candidate five years later, he promised to “turn the page on the imperial presidency” and usher in “a new dawn of peace.” And yet, 2008’s “peace candidate” will leave office as the first two-term president in American history to have been at war every day of his presidency, having dropped over 25,000 bombs on seven countries in 2016 alone.

My Commentary: Or, as his supporters say, “no scandals for eight years.” Pffttt! You can’t make this stuff up!

Perhaps, the war hawk should be awarded another Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts?

Oh, and Obama also prosecuted more whistle-blowers than all previous presidents, combined. Or, as he would call it, “the most transparent administration in history.”

Statists gonna State! Try voting harder, next time, voting cattle! That’ll *really* show the government who’s in charge!

After Attacking Yemen’s Houthis, US Admits They Don’t Know Who Fired Missiles:

(Jason Ditz) Yesterday, the United States attacked and destroyed a series of radar stations belonging to the Shi’ite Houthis in Yemen, along the Red Sea coast. This was described as retaliation for the missiles fired sort of near a US destroyer off shore, and presented as preventing future such strikes.

Yet today, Pentagon press secretary Peter Cook admitted that the US still hasn’t actually made any determination who fired those missiles in the first place. It is unclear why they retaliated against the Houthis, who denied involvement, apart from Cook saying that the US believes Iran has “been supportive of the Houthi rebels.”

As I’ve said before, the “Occupy Rectum” movement is definitely a most enduring one! It’s hard to believe that it is STILL going strong, after all these centuries! It’s all good, though. I’ll just continue to maintain my position: standing upright, facing the horizon, secure in the knowledge that the ASS is no place for the HEAD to be!
