Clarifying a Meme About the GOP Sabotaging Presidential Candidate, Dr. Ron Paul, in 2012

The following debate originally took place upon my Facebook wall, after I posted a meme being shared by an acquainted from here

Rayn:

"Yeah, if somebody could leak GOP emails from 2012 to show that they are also corrupt enough to rig elections... That'd be great"

“Yeah, if somebody could leak GOP
emails from 2012 to show that they
are also corrupt enough to rig elections…
That’d be great”

Daniel Sv.: That’s a bit of a mis characterization. If there were any emails leaked, you would probably see that the RNC establishment was going out of their way to sabotage Trump. They desperately wanted some establishment candidate, even Ted Cruz (who is part of the establishment, though heavily disliked for his arrogant and brusque style). Remember how they attempted to cancel the Colorado primary and award the delegates to Cruz? The reason why Trump won is that the establishment was fundamentally bankrupt. People were tired of the establishment candidates pandering to topics that had nothing to do with them (abortion, endless wars, fundamentalist Christianity, etc) while signaling tepid support for maintaining the middle class, then when getting elected to chuck those by the wayside and pocket money from Goldman Sachs while continuing on unnecessary wars. People see that the establishment is scared of an outsider candidate like Trump and it’s making them mad with glee.

Rayn: Hmm… I’m not sure if you realize, but this meme actually refers to the RNC rigging of their own primary elections through the systematic disenfranchisement of presidential candidate Dr. Ron Paul in (both 2008 and) 2012.

Austin, Texas Bans Congregations of More Than Six Adults on Private Property, Solidifying Public Enslavement Within the Nanny State

Austin Bans People From Gathering and Sleeping On Private Property:

(Andre’ Gabriel Esparza) Earlier this year the Austin City Council banned inside and outside gatherings with a 9-2 vote, making it illegal to have “more than six adults” congregating between the hours of 7 a.m and 10 p.m. Which would obviously include: birthday parties, backyard BBQs, family reunions, bachelor and bachelorette events, and even infringing on religious celebrations like Quinceaneras and bar mitzvahs. People that have spent top dollar to rent these (Short Term Rental properties) that are also considered private property will now be forced by the city to comply and adhere to the ordinance or be issued extortion notes. They also face the dangerous actions of having their private events & vacations raided and ransacked by the Austin police and the code compliance automatons with their clipboards walking in to jot down anything that they don’t like.  The  temporary residents are also prohibited from sleeping or playing any instruments past 10 p.m.

What’s Next? Drone Strikes on Domestic “Suspected Terrorists”? Domestic “Collateral Damage”?

Dallas Armed Robot Kill Highlights the Militarization of American Police:

(Nadia Prupis) As news emerges that police officers in Dallas, Texas used an armed robot to kill the suspected shooter in Thursday night’s ambush, experts are warning that it represents a sea change in police militarization that only heightens risks to human and constitutional rights.

Dallas Police Chief David Brown said Friday morning during a press conference that police “saw no other option but to use our bomb robot and place a device on its extension for it to detonate” where the suspect had taken refuge in a parking garage as police tried to negotiate with him, adding that he was “deceased as a result of detonating the bomb.”

My Commentary: Unprecedented, with far-reaching implications…

What’s next? Drone strikes on domestic “suspected terrorists”? Domestic “collateral damage”?

“He that would make his own liberty secure, must guard even his enemy from oppression; for if he violates this duty, he establishes a precedent that will reach to himself.” – Thomas Paine

It’s still not too late to reject the fallacious, endless “war on terrorism” and end the crimes against humanity being committed daily in its name. After all… war, itself, is terrorism.

Discussing Tall Building As Elaborate Tombstones

The following correspondence originally took place on my Facebook wall, upon my post, “Tall Building Look Like Elaborate Tombstones“…

Rayn: Travelling through Houston, Texas, and one thing’s for certain: no matter where in the country I’ve been, so far, most of the tall buildings I see look like nothing more than elaborate tombstones, to me… I used to meditate on this thought very often, during the decade and a half that I lived in Brooklyn and the Bronx, NY.

A view of the city of Houston, Texas, as seen from the Interstate

Stephen K.: Had the same thought in September 2010. Look at my photo of NYC, taken fron Bear Mountain, in the “Daylight Telephotos” album.

Stephen K.:

Rayn: Nice panoramic view of NYC, Stephen! Skillz! And, I’m glad that I’m not the only one to come to such a macabre conclusion about the look of city buildings. 🙂

Stephen K.: Thanks,Rayn. Yes, I agree that great minds CAN and DO sometimes think alike! 🙂
