Kidnapped by State Agents for Victimless “Crime,” Then Summarily Executed

As I scrolled through my Facebook news feed, I discovered the following artwork here, being shared by the page, “Police the Police,” and originally posted it to my own wall, along with commentary…

“Police say that 22-year-old Victor White killed himself, while handcuffed, by shooting himself in the back, while seated in a patrol car. There is one huge problem. He was cuffed behind his back and the entry would was in his chest.”

My Commentary: Kidnapped for victimless “crime,” then summarily executed by agents of the Almighty State.

Trump Responds to Terrence Crutcher Shooting: Maybe the Cop Shouldn’t be a Cop:
http://reason.com/blog/2016/09/21/trump-responds-to-terrence-crutcher-shoo

() At a rally in Ohio this morning, Donald Trump addressed the police shooting of Terrence Crutcher, whose car had broken down on the road and who had his hands up when he was shot, in Tulsa on Friday. Trump said it looked like Crutcher had done “everything he was supposed to do.” Some police apologists had pointed to Crutcher moving away from police with his hands up, and thus not following orders, as a justification for his shooting. The video was posted on Twitter by NBC Nightly News.

Trump also suggested the officer who fatally shot Crutcher had “choked” (he had previously described the police officers who shot and killed Alton Sterling and Philando Castile in the same way) and should not be employed as a police officer. “Was she choking? What happened?” Trump asked in his usual extemporaneous manner. “But maybe people like that, people that choke, people that do that maybe they can’t be doing what they’re doing, okay? They can’t be doing what they’re doing.”

(Liam Stack) The Police Department in Tulsa, Okla., released video on Monday of an encounter during which, the authorities said, a white police officer fatally shot an unarmed black man who could be seen raising his hands above his head.

The department opened a criminal investigation into the shooting and said the Tulsa County district attorney, Steve Kunzweiler, would review its findings. The federal Justice Department opened a separate civil rights investigation.

(Matt Agorist) A 13-year-old girl was brought to the hospital Thursday afternoon after suffering a bullet wound from a police officer’s gun. According to police, they were attempting to bring the ‘combative’ child under control when the ‘officer’s gun discharged.’

According to police, they were called to the school to investigate allegations of a crime. As they were talking to the young girl, she allegedly became  “uncooperative and then combative,” according to the release.

While officers struggled to control the elementary student, one of their firearms somehow discharged while still in the holster and also somehow hit the girl, according to the release.

KING: After Tyre King’s Death, Here’s Why I Don’t Believe a Word Police Say Immediately After They Kill Someone:

(Shaun King) In two years time, I’ve now written nearly 1,000 articles about injustice in America. Injustice is so heavy here in the United States that if I had written 10,000 articles I still would only be scratching the surface. On the average day, I get hundreds of original emails from people who’ve been wronged in some way or another and hope they can have their story told.

When I first started telling these stories, I must admit that I was terribly naive. I had no idea how complex the justice system is. While I knew it was difficult to hold a corrupt or violent cop accountable for their actions, I simply didn’t know the lengths police, prosecutors, politicians and even local media outlets will go to protect a violent officer from paying the price for their brutality. I’ve learned the hard way over these past two years that what should make sense rarely does when it comes to holding police accountable for their violent actions. Now I know.
