The Paradox of Peace…

As I scrolled through my Facebook news feed, I discovered the following artwork here, being shared by the page, “Zero Aggression,” and originally posted it to my own wall, along with commentary…

"He that would make his own liberty secure, must guard even his enemy from opposition; for if he violates this duty, he establishes a precedent that will reach himself." - Thomas Paine

My Commentary: The paradox of peace…

Discussing the Concept of Dying in Order to Live

The following correspondence originally took place on my Facebook wall, upon my post, “In Order to Live, You Must Die“…

Rayn: In order to live, you must die.

Genaire: That’s true, but let’s enjoy the living part first.

Renat S.: Reminds me of: “In order to change, I have to die” (Zemfira, Russian lyricist, composer and singer)

Jason R.Obsession 🙂

Renat S.: Devotion

Renat S.: “Life” – (“leip” – old Indian) remain, continue, persevere

Jenna G.: In order to die, you must live…

Daniel Sv.: I suppose by “die”, you mean to abolish your existing biases in order to receive new wisdom?

The Rebellion Paradox

The following correspondence originally took place upon my Facebook wall, after I posted artwork being shared by the page, “Truth Beckons“…

Rayn:

"Until they become conscious, they will never rebel, and until after they have rebelled they cannot become conscious." - George Orwell, 1984

“Until they become conscious, they will never rebel, and until after they have rebelled they cannot become conscious.” – George Orwell, 1984

Renat S.: Sometimes one needs consciousness not to rebel

Rayn: Indeed. Yet, when injustice becomes law, rebellion becomes duty – to paraphrase another famous quote. Have you ever read Orwell’s book, “1984,” by the way?

Renat S.: No, I haven’t; thank you for suggestion

Rayn: You’re welcome. 🙂
