When Your Driver’s License Suddenly Expires

As I scrolled through my Facebook news feed, I discovered the following artwork here, being shared by the page, “Anarchy isn’t Terror,” and originally posted it to my own wall, along with commentary…

My Commentary: I hate when this happens! It’s the WORST!

Discussing State Extortion Racket’s Continuation in Disenfranchising Home Businesses

The following correspondence originally took place on my Facebook wall, upon my post , “Home Businesses Continue to Be Disenfranchised By State Extortion Racket“…

Dennise Cruz is being extorted by the State of Texas for selling homemade food to her neighbors

Rayn: Only government and big business can create jobs, lady! What are you? Too lazy to get REAL one, or something? What if everyone were to just start providing services to their neighbors without being extorted with licensing and permit fees, and without being weighed down by a host of arbitrary restrictions to peaceful activity? It would be ANARCHY!

Warrant Issued for Mother’s Arrest for Selling Homemade Tamales to Her Neighbors:

(Matt Agorist) Carrollton, TX — In modern day police state, USA, exchanging goods and services is a crime unless the state gets their cut. So, even though a Carrollton mother was “stunned” to find a warrant issued for her arrest for selling tamales to her neighbors — it was to be expected.

This week, Dennise Cruz was shocked to receive a yellow postcard from the City of Carrollton stating that if she doesn’t immediately submit to their extortion demands, then she would be kidnapped and locked in a cage.

“That has to be wrong. I don’t have any tickets under my name. That’s just my first reaction. Never would have I thought, tamales,” said Cruz in an interview with CBS DFW. “To know that somebody can be arrested over that, that to me is unbelievable.”.

Washington, D.C., Has Four Layers of Bureaucracy to Protect Against Rogue Shoe-Shiners:

Shining shoes seems like a relatively low-risk occupation. (Heck, even Andy Dwyer can do it.)

Not so, says the city government of Washington, D.C., where would-be shoe shiners have to acquire no fewer than four licenses, with fees totaling at least $337 to get into business. Oh, and if you want to shine shoes on the sidewalk, cough up another $1,200 for a two-year permit.

Victory for African-Style Hair Braiders in Iowa:
http://ij.org/press-release/victory-african-style-hair-braiders-iowa/

(Matt Powers) Hair braiders in Iowa will soon be free to earn an honest living. Under a new law that will take effect tomorrow, July 1, braiders will be exempted from Iowa’s cosmetology licensing laws and will simply need to register with the state. The Institute for Justice (IJ) and braiders Aicheria Bell and Achan Agit will voluntarily dismiss their lawsuit challenging Iowa’s law requiring that African-style hair braiders get a cosmetology license.

My Commentary: But, without government, who would empower and enrich themselves by “legislating” society directly into poverty and prison, while forcing their victims to pay for the so-called “service,” under threat of violence, kidnapping and murder?
