A Quick History Lesson…

As I scrolled through my Facebook memories, I discovered the following artwork from here, which I originally posted to my wall in June of 2016, and decidedly re-shared it, while adding a commentary…

Never Forget… Those Who Jumped from the Twin Towers to Their Deaths on 9/11/2001 Saved Many Other Lives

Although these particularly delicate 9/11 images are a source of great discomfort, for various reasons, as they do, indeed, signify a fatal act of desperation on the part of some victims, they should still not be completely erased from history

(Tom LeonardAlmost all of them jumped alone, although eyewitnesses talked of a couple who held hands as they fell.

One woman, in a final act of modesty, appeared to be holding down her skirt. Others tried to make parachutes out of curtains or tablecloths, only to have them wrenched from their grip by the force of their descent.

The fall was said to take about ten seconds. It would vary according to the body position and how long it took to reach terminal velocity — around 125mph in most cases, but if someone fell head down with their body straight, as if in a dive, it could be 200mph.

Through their deaths, these particular 9/11 victims inadvertently saved many other lives, as those employees in the floors of the Towers below them who witnessed their falls quickly decided to ignore official orders that they remain in their cubicles, and evacuated the building, instead.

However, their fatalities have remained a source of discomfort from day one. But, no matter the reason, they should not be erased from history.

Teddy C.: Some professors have very fragile egos. I once corrected a business school professor on a non-controversial topic and he totally shut me down; he was very defensive to be corrected by a student.

Jason R.: This is so true

Jason R.: It’s good to learn the history not an edited version of history

History Teacher Denies Native American Genocide, Native Student Disagrees, Gets Expelled:

A Native American student at Cal State Sacramento University was told by her history teacher that there was no genocide against the indigenous population of North America. When the student, Chiitaanibah Johnson, took issue with this claim and challenged him, she was ejected from the class and expelled.

The professor said he didn’t care for the term “genocide” as he didn’t think it accurately describes what happened in relation to Native American history.

U.S. History Professor Maury Wiseman accused Johnson of “hijacking” his class when she challenged him on this. He also pointed out that he was very offended at her accusations that he was a “bigot” and “racist.”

Statism: the Most Popular Death Cult in the History of Humanity

I originally posted the following information and commentary onto my Facebook wall…

Thomas Carlyle

Thomas Carlyle, the Founding Father of Fascism:

() Have you heard of the “great man” theory of history?

The meaning is obvious from the words. The idea is that history moves in epochal shifts under the leadership of visionary, bold, often ruthless men who marshall the energy of masses of people to push events in radical new directions. Nothing is the same after them.

In their absence, nothing happens that is notable enough to qualify as history: no heroes, no god-like figures who qualify as “great.” In this view, we need such men.  If they do not exist, we create them. They give us purpose. They define the meaning of life. They drive history forward.

My Commentary: Statism: the most popular death cult in the history of humanity.

“…Within the state, all that is otherwise considered immoral, illegal, unseemly, and ghastly, can become, as blessed by the law, part of policy, civic virtue, and the forward motion of history. The state baptizes rampant immorality with the holy water of consensus.”
