Eating meat is a luxury that the human race cannot afford to maintain on a daily basis! Don’t be fooled into believing that it is a natural part of our human “evolution”! Our higher brain functions and bodily strength are based upon protein consumption, not flesh consumption! There is a difference!!!!

Keith M.: We should start by refraining from one type of meat, then slowly working our way towards eliminating the others. The reason: if everyone stopped eating all meat at once, a lot of people would lose their jobs and life’s! but is a good goal to stride for! selah
Rayn: No doubt! That’s how I became a vegetarian! One step at a time! It is the only realistic way to do anything! Unreasonable expectations can only lead to disappointment! That is why the article I cited simply suggests A SINGLE DAY of vegetarianism to effect change!
Rebekah P.: Some argue that it makes no sense to get second-hand energy from the cow who eats the grass. Just consume the grass yourself to get the sun and earth’s energy.
Rebekah P.: Also, a lot of people actually believe that veggies have no protein and your only/best source is dead animals, which is false.
All the money people spend on horrible, dangerous surgeries and pills to lose weight, when all they’d have to do is eat more salad and less meat!

Rayn: Good point, Rebekah. The most direct source of energy is the sun, and therefore, plants are first in line to receive it. However, we must eat the vegetation that actually digestable, as humans cannot eat grass. Cows can only eat it, because they have a special digestive system, along with four stomach compartments, which allows them to repeatedly regurgitate and rechew it as “cud,” until it is broken down enough to be absorbed.
But, you are absolutely right! It is completely false that fruits and vegetables don’t have protein. Leafy greens like broccoli, asparagus & peas, legumes, like beans & peanuts, nuts, like almonds & pistachios, are loaded all with protein! Another good point! We should forget about unnecessary surgery or dangerous pills! We all need to start paying attention to the fuel that we put into their bodies! The average obese American is actually MALNOURISHED due to a high intake of nutritionally-deficient refined & processed foods! LOL, Tom! No doubt! Man, that reminds me of one of my favorite dishes to make! And, to eat! I start with red kidney beans, add a little tomato sauce, diced onions, diced garlic, paprika, oregano, black pepper and sea salt, thrown them over some fresh brown rice, sprinkle it with cheddar, top it with a handful of raw spinach, and voilà! Deliciouso!
