My Commentary: Most pop music is COMPLETELY UNCREATIVE and UNORIGINAL. Rather than being based in talent, as many have already surmised, it is actually based in a proven mathematical formula for success involving the same four chords in the same progression, over and over again!

For those musically-literate, here are the four chords in their proper order: MINOR 1, MAJOR 6, MAJOR 3, FLAT 7!!! Together, they form a portion of Johann Pachelbel’s most famous work, “Canon in D,” which was written around 1690:
