Steve K.: If true, it would be unconstitutional, violates the 1st amendment for one thing. Not voting is one way of protesting.

Rayn: Indeed! Penalizing those New Yorkers who choose to Vacate The Vote in an effort to Withdraw Consent is not only an assault against free speech, and freedom of choice – it also represents a shameless effort to run an extortion racket, too! These political parasites are nothing more than a legally-protected criminal caste!

() A state lawmaker from Manhattan wants to make it costly for New Yorkers not to vote.

Assemblywoman Deborah Glick, a Democrat, introduced legislation this week that would establish “compulsory voting” in the state and punish those who don’t vote with a $10 fine.

“Mandatory voting would drastically increase civic participation and transform the political arena by making politicians more reflective of the constituents that elected them,” Glick wrote in a memo submitted with the bill.

Senator Chuck Schumer on Olympic Medal Winners: It’s “Unfair to Tax” Those Who “Work Hard Year-Round”

Priceless: Schumer Says Waive Tax on Olympians Because “Hard Work” Shouldn’t be Punished:

(Larry O’Connor) Without the teeniest sense of irony, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has proposed that America’s Olympic medal winners should not have to pay taxes on the cash prizes they are awarded with their medals.

Schumer’s reasoning behind lifting the tax? Because “hard work” and excellence shouldn’t be punished

The Injustice of Peace-Molesting Town and City “Ordinances”

The following correspondence originally took place upon the Facebook wall of my friend, Jordan K

Jordan K.: Parked my truck + horse trailer in front of my own house for a few minutes to use the bathroom before a trip up north to pick up hay. Had this on my truck immediately. I hate California government and the piece of shit neighbors that called me in. Montana here I come.

E’naaniibwit M.: We’re eventually going to see you on a episode of Edge of Alaska lol

Ryan P.: Wow… and to think that these people who called on you probably live on the land that YOUR family sold them… ungrateful bastards.

Daniel R.: Pieces of shit

Kris K.: Wow, that’s really stupid

Jordan K.: Next time I’m just going to pull the entire rig up on my front lawn.

Rayn: My husband and I were forced out of NJ with our RV because of these same exact sort of peace-molesting “ordinances.” No victim, no crime!

Jordan K.: I just called the contact name and number. Greg was confrontational with me at first. He said I wouldn’t be able to park my trailer on the street at all. Then later in the conversation he admitted he guessed my trailer was about 18′ long. I then asked him why, if it wasn’t over 25′, wouldn’t I be able to park it in the street. He then mentioned the widths and heights, which I assured him it wasn’t over. After that he admitted I would be allowed to park it in the street as long as I followed all the guidelines on this paper. Even if it was over 80″ I could still park the trailer on the street at all times between 4pm and 7:30am 🙂Sometimes telling somebody what they can’t do isn’t any better then having them find out what they CAN do. My neighbors are gonna get a whole lotta trailer love in the coming months.

Jordan K.: I asked him if I could pull it up on my front lawn… nope – can’t put anything on a non paved surface.

Jordan K.: So then I asked him if I could park it in the driveway disconnected next to my truck everything on pavement. I can do that. I can also park between the right hours like I mentioned before. Either way, these neighbors are asshats.

Nellie K.: So sorry that happened to you!

Jordan K.: It’s ok… I’m dealing with it. It’s just a bad feeling when you know one of your neighbors has it in for you.

Power-Hungry Senator Proposes Licensing for Bicycle “Operators”

State Senator Proposes to ID Bicycle “Operators”:
http://www.myfreedomfoundation.com/blogs/liberty-live/state-senator-proposes-id-bicycle-operators

(Scott Roberts, Freedom Foundation) For the past few years, the Freedom Foundation has published our “Big Spenders” list. As a result of I-960, the Office of Financial Management is required to calculate the 10-year cost of any bill that proposes a new tax or a new fee. We then take all the bill sponsors and add up these projected costs, and publish a rank-ordered list. It’s informative for taxpayers to know which legislators propose bills that increase the cost of government and legislators who don’t.

It’s stunning how much government growth—at the expense of taxpayers—is proposed by some legislators.

I’m heading up the project this year, so lately I’ve been up to my ears wading through bills from this past session. I have to give credit to Anne Marie Gurney, our ace research analyst for digging up this bill information. It’s Senate Bill 6301, and it proposes to license bicycle “operators”.

My CommentaryAccording to the article, “the Senator says this bill was proposed because of constituent complaints about cyclists who were a traffic nuisance and who were urinating in people’s yards–and identification numbers are needed to file complaints with the authorities.”

Good thing that the complaints weren’t against pedestrians, eh?

No matter how peaceful our behavior is, the government always eventually creates some sort of pretext to interject itself into the equation as our Accuser, turned Gatekeeper, on the matter (but, of course). We are being branded guilty until proven innocent with every single oppressive measure like this that is even suggested, let alone passed! Every new law makes a new crime – or, should I say “pre-crime,” in cases like this (just like so many others)! Meanwhile, the prisons continue to overflow with more and more Individuals convicted of VICTIMLESS OFFENSES!

These professionally-lying, morally-bankrupt, sociopathic so-called “representatives” are slowly but surely criminalizing our humanity, while legalizing their criminality, right before our very eyes! Wake up and smell the tyranny!
