(Independent Institute Blog, Anthony Gregory) Sixty-seven years ago, on August 6, 1945, the Truman administration dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima, instantly killing tens of thousands of men, women, and children, and causing a nuclear catastrophe that took thousands of more lives in the weeks and years that followed. Three days later, on August 9, the U.S. followed up by dropping a plutonium bomb on Nagasaki.
Assuming the conventional narrative we hear about these events is true, these acts were acts of terrorism by any reasonable standard. The typical story is that the Truman administration made a necessary and difficult calculus, deciding that the lives of about two-hundred-thousand Japanese civilians were worth expending so as to save the lives of even more American servicemen who would have had to invade Japanese mainland and secure victory.
The following correspondence originally took place on my Facebook wall, upon my post, “How Quickly We Forget…“…
Rayn: How quickly we forget…
It’s not who votes that counts. It’s who counts the votes.” – Stalin
Claudia C.: Apparently America has spoken. Republicans got many votes which makes me think about Palin already dreaming about being president. Palin is even dumber than Bush which, according to my friend, Robert C., indicates that american public gravitates towards more dim witted leaders. ” while the masses believe that terrorism is going to destroy the country, it appears stupidity already did.”
Rayn: Apparently, America is sleeping, and the false paradigm wins again! War, it’ll be!!!
As far as I’m concerned, voting is simply THEATER in order to create the ILLUSION of CHOICE, and hence, MANUFACTURE PUBLIC CONSENT to a MOSTLY PRE-DETERMINED OUTCOME. Pre-selected candidates are thrust upon us (like Bush vs. Kerry in 2004, two members of Yale’s Secret Society – Skull & Bones), presidential outcomes are chosen by electoral college, and electronic voting machines are rigged to prevent INDEPENDENTS from EVER GAINING more than a FEW PERCENTAGE POINTS (in order to psych individuals out of “wasting” their vote on those THAT ACTUALLY DESERVE IT)!!
Rayn: Thanx, Big Brother government! I knew you’d come through for the people. Removing all salt from our prepared food items is what we have ALL been asking for! Oh, wait! No, we haven’t. Hmmm… It would appear that this nonsense is just another tyrannical attempt for the state of New York to legally rob and steal from the same people they are duty-sworn to serve! “$1000 for each individual addition of salt”!? LOL! First, NY poli-trick-cians successfully pass a cigarette tax, then they try passing a “soda tax” in NYC, and now this! Believe me, this sort of oppression and theft will never end until we decidely take a stand against those that seek to enslave us with their unjust, unfair laws, based completely in PRE-CRIME! In this failed system of government, we are ALL GUILTY until PROVEN innocent!
