Most Laws Represent the Violent Enforcement of Personal Preferences

I originally posted the following information and commentary onto my Facebook wall…

There Ought Not Be a Law:
http://reason.com/archives/2018/03/13/there-ought-not-be-a-law

() Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin wants limits on virtual currencies, like Bitcoin, that help people keep their financial lives private from folks like him. Senator Dianne Feinstein wants government regulation of political speech by foreign agents—or maybe just by people with whom she disagrees. Gun control activists want more restrictions with which to threaten peaceful gun owners so that violent predators who break laws will have more things to ignore.

If ever there was a “there oughta be a law moment,” we’re living in it. At least, we’re living in one of all too many such moments. Because people are forever looking to the law as the solution to the ills they perceive in the world around them—often only to spackle over the failures of the previous round of laws. In the process, they’re forever forgetting that laws are usually nothing more than codified prejudices, imposed against resistant populations, by sometimes incompetent and often corrupt enforcers.

My CommentaryNo Victim, No Crime, control freaks…

Vote-begging the State to violently enforce your personal preferences upon the peaceful? You might just be a Statist!

A Vulgar Superstition

As I scrolled through my Facebook memories, I discovered the following artwork, which I originally shared to my wall in February of 2016, in my post, “The Majority Cannot Give Consent for the Minority,” and decidedly re-shared it, along with a new commentary…

My Original Commentary:

“Democracy is based on the idea that the
majority can give consent for the minority.
But consent doesn’t work like that.”

“Yo, Dawg! We heard that you don’t like the tyranny of the majority over minority groups…
So, we legitimized the authority of an ultra-minority through a voting majority, so they can tyrannically rule over everybody, accordingly, while you formally select the next elect minority of tyranny to fully control your humanity, in perpetuity!”
(Artwork by Rayn, and originally located here)

My New Commentary: A vulgar superstition.

(note: though I previously shared a different picture of this quote in February of 2016, within my post, “The Majority Cannot Give Consent for the Minority,” I still felt compelled to offer up an alternative commentary when I saw it again, due to the inspiring nature of these words)

Learning Sociopathic Behavior at Public School

As I scrolled through my Facebook news feed, I discovered the following artwork, along with caption, here, being shared by the page, “The Honest Teacher,” and originally posted it to my own wall, along with commentary…

“Public school curriculum, by-and-large, has children fantasizing how they would control others if in a position of power rather than thinking about how to leave others alone to live free”
“The hidden curriculum of compulsory public school is to have students fantasize about what it would be like to be in a position of power and control. As children are dehumanized in the classroom, removing any semblance of autonomy and self-direction, it’s easy to get children to lust after the proverbial “ring” of power because they are so want for any kind of individual decision making. This leads to children bullying both in the school environment and later in life in using political tools to control the non-violent actions of others. When children are permitted to learn uninterrupted, and are respected as moral agents, they are less likely to become obsessed with ruling and bullying others as older teens and adults. Free the children. Free the learning. END THE BULLYING.

My Commentary: Learned sociopathic behavior…

Convincing the Masses to Accept Enslavement as Necessary

As I scrolled through my Facebook news feed, I discovered the following artwork here, being shared by the page, “Bastiat Institute,” and originally posted it to my own wall, along with commentary…

“It’s been easier to convince people to hand over half their income, their children to war, and their freedoms in perpetuity, than to engage them in seriously considering how roads might function in the absense of taxation.”

My CommentaryMUH Roadssss...

Statism Promotes Violence Against Women

As I scrolled through my Facebook news feed, I discovered the following artwork here, being shared by the page, “The Recovering Statist,” and originally posted it to my own wall, along with commentary…

“Remember Billy: hitting girls is wrong… unless you’re wearing a badge & a magic suit. Then, it’s totally okay.”

My Commentary: Statism is so “progressive,” promoting equal rights of the sexes!
