My Commentary: Is this that “compassion for the poor” y’all imagined your tax dollars pay for? Suckers!
It’s just like those helpful “vagrancy” laws, used by the State to harass, fine and imprison the homeless.
As I scrolled through my Facebook news feed, I discovered the following artwork here, being shared by the page, “The Abolitionist Movement,” and originally posted it to my own wall, along with commentary…
“There was a farmer who grew excellent quality corn. One year, a newspaper reporter interviewed him and learned something interesting about how he grew it. The reporter discovered that the farmer shared his seed corn with his neighbors. “How can you afford to share your best seed corn with your neighbors when they are entering corn in competition with yours each year?,” the reporter asked.
“Why, sir,” said the farmer. “Didn’t your know? The wind picks up the pollen from the ripening corn and swirls it from field to field. If my neighbors grew inferior corn, cross-pollination will steadily degrade the quality of my corn. If I am to grow good corn, I must help my neighbors grow good corn.”

“So you want the government to ‘stop giving poor people free stuff’? Funny how you don’t care about the $70 billion a year we spend on subsidizing Wall St. Banks, the $38 billion in subsidies given to oil companies, the $2.1 trillion that Fortune 500 corporations are stashing abroad to avoid paying U.S. taxes, and the $153 billion a year we spend to subsidize McDonald’s and Walmart’s low-wage workers?”
Gene K.: And another thing….. some of the “Reddest” states receive the greatest amounts of welfare…… and HATE that people get “handouts” from the government…. I need somebody to explain that logic to me….
Brooke N.: Not logic, greed and blindness. I know Libertarian people who are on Disability and want to get rid of Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid. I don’t think there’s any to accuse this of being logic.
Gene K.: Yes, I know a lot of people of many persuasions that hate anything that smacks of socialized medicine. It is like they think that medical bills are paid by the Medical Bill Fairy and are not subsidized by all of the people using the medical care system.
Folks, there ain’t no free ride. Sorry. There. Just. Isn’t.
Brooke N.: But it’s possible to make life a little easier for 99% of the people instead of utterly effortless for the 1% 🙂

Voluntarily choosing to feed those less fortunate. JustAnarchistThingsVoluntaryism: because true compassion requires a little something called… hmm… what’s that magic word, again? Oh, yeah! CONSENT!!!
Many shared the story, but few understood the lesson! Outsourcing our humanity to an ultra-minority of power-hungry “elect” has been a dismal failure for CENTURIES! It is the slave’s answer to being a responsible, respectful Individual.
“No! I don’t want to be peacefully free because criminals will just take over without established authority!“
NEWS FLASH: criminals have ALREADY taken over, and they currently engage in their crimes, almost fully unabated, under the “color of law” that comes from the very established authority you thought would prevent it! Even the mafia couldn’t accomplish such an amazing feat! In reality, the conditions that Statists claim to fear – the ones that keep them clinging so hard to the cult of “government” – are precisely the ones we’ve been in for a very, very long time, already! What they seem to really fear, but rarely admit, is the PERSONAL ACCOUNTABILITY, and the direct participation in shaping society that comes with Individual Sovereignty!
Statism is just another obsolete extortion-racket, run by a tiny ruling class of professionally-lying, elitist, morally-bankrupt, sociopathic, career criminals.
Interestingly enough, at least when common robbers, kidnappers, rapists, and murderers commit their evils, we plainly see their actions as wrong, and fight back, even. But, give these same types State-issued uniforms and weapons, with the free range to abuse their peers that comes with it, and suddenly, and, somehow, their evils magically transform into “jobs,” and they are called “heros.” Even worse: arm them with government titles and pens, and watch even clear-as-day war crimes turn into “collateral damage”! 😉
