Discussing the American Public’s Infatuation With Consumerism

The following correspondence originally took place upon my Facebook wall, after I posted artwork being shared by the page, “Self-Ownership“…

Rayn:

"Truth, Justice, Wisdom" or "99¢ Burgers"?

“Truth, Justice, Wisdom” or “99¢ Burgers”?

Jonas A.: YUP…Slaves to the .99 cent illusion for the death before dishonor shindig….

Nick M.: wait what is on the burgers?

Rayn: Most likely “pink slime,” which is “made by gathering waste trimmings, simmering them at low heat so the fat separates easily from the muscle, and spinning the trimmings using a centrifuge to complete the separation. Next, the mixture is sent through pipes where it is sprayed with ammonia gas to kill bacteria.” It is then added to ground beef as filler. 🙂 Yum!
